Meet the Ocean Air Staff

Josh Pavlovich
Chief Flight Instructor
Josh has been a full time instructor here for almost 4 years now, and flying for over 20 years. He is a FAA Gold Seal instructor. Growing up in Santa Cruz, he was around airports and local airshows from a young age. After a break from a daily dose of aviation related interests and organizations for years of school and work, he was able to return to flying. He is always ready to share his interest in flying through instruction, recurrent training, flight reviews, or perhaps suggesting destinations for local pilots or sharing an interesting story. Feel free to visit Josh's web site: www.igot.net.

Maintenace Department

Dudley Clark
Chief Inspector
Dudley is a veteran of our inspection department. He started wrenching at eight years old on the family power mower and later on his own vehicles. His skills were further developed by his training in the U.S. Navy, with service on Midway Island and NAS Miramar After receiving his degree from San Jose State, Dudley picked up his Airframe and Power-Plant licenses and later his Inspection Authorization. Dudley moved around Northern California, rounding out his education at Lycoming Factory School, Continental Training Classes, Piper Factory School, Cessna Training Classes, and time at the Mooney Service Center. Dudley also has had training in several turboprop aircraft, has run an engine overhaul shop, worked at a prop repair station, and has served as a Designated Mechanics Examiner for the FAA. Dudley also attended the Robinson factory training on the R22 and R44 helicopters.

Administration

Gryphon McArthur
General Manager
Gryphon comes to Ocean Air with more than ten years experience in "high tech", and enjoys the new challenges and experiences aviation has to offer. Gryphon holds a private pilot rating, instrument airplane, and tailwheel endorsement. He can occasionally be seen helping Bruce and Dudley out in the hangar, and hopes to have his A&P certification in "a few years".
